The SAGE program provides library services to older adults in Genesee County who are unable to visit the library. SAGE is funded by a grant from the Muriel H.Marshall Fund for the Aging.
Overseen by the Rochester Area Community Foundation, the fund is a bequest from the estate of Roxanne Marshall who named it in honor of her mother. Ms. Marshall, a former school librarian, wished to enhance the quality of life for older adults in Genesee County.
Genesee County residents at least 60 years old who are confined to their homes due to a short term or extended illness, disability or lack of transportation are eligible for the services of this program.
SAGE also provides rotating mixed media collections to senior housing complexes, adult daycare facilities, and nursing homes in Genesee County.
