Duo Purla Concert

Buffalo-based Duo Purla performs new and challenging repertoire for guitar and violin, expanding the repertoire of their instrumentation by performing new compositions and original arrangements of classical works. Formed by Eastman-educated musicians violinist Shannon Reilly and guitarist Tom Torrisi in 2019, Duo Purla’s eclectic programs include world-premieres of music by composers Tom Torrisi, Edgar Girtain, and Zack Pentecost alongside imaginative arrangements of celebrated composers including Vivaldi, Beethoven, Haydn, Grieg, and Satie. In addition to an active performance calendar, Duo Purla also presents educational and outreach programs for the enrichment of the local community, striving to share their love of contemporary classical chamber music.
