REEL DISCUSSIONS - I am Woman (2020)

This film tells the story of feminist icon Helen Reddy, who shot to stardom after releasing the song" I am Woman" that resonated with the burgeoning feminist movement during the early 1970s.  The story traces Helen's early life as a 24 -year old Australian who arrives in New York City with only her three year old daughter, a suitcase, and a dream of making it big as a singer in America.   Runtime - 116 minutes.   Cast - Evan  Peters, Tilda Cobham-Hervey, Danielle Macdonald, Matty Cardarople, Jordan Raskopoulos
