Children's/Young Adult Book Drive!

September 6th-October 1 we will be accepting donations of gently used hardcover and paperbacks. We can also accept DVDs, BluRay, and CDs in good condition!

Batavia is known for being a welcoming community and the donations will truly enhance the children’s/young adult G.I.F.T program,” said Teen Library Assistant Ellen Caton.

“This program extends out into the community and helps the kids have access to books at specific agencies and businesses in Batavia.”
The goal of the G.I.F.T program is to place as many age appropriate books into the homes of families in our communities as possible.

Having as few as 20 books in the home has a significant impact on propelling a child to higher lifelong education levels and earnings, potentially breaking the cycle ofintergenerational poverty, and the more books you add, the greater the benefit!
